The real problem

You're qualified. The interview is what's in the way.

You've done the work — but interviews keep slipping: a question you didn't see coming, an answer that landed flat, a round with no feedback so you never knew why. More LeetCode and generic advice won't change that. Being genuinely ready will.

Privacy by design

Local-first by design.

Your CV lives in Chrome's local storage, on your device. Not on our servers. It's sent over HTTPS only when you generate a report, and then it's gone. We never keep it, and we never train models on it. The trade-off is on you: switch browsers, Chrome profiles or devices and you carry your CV and data over yourself.

It all serves one job: getting you ready, building your confidence, and landing the offer. Every report is built for the exact role you're chasing, not bulk advice — in your browser, no install, or via the Chrome extension.

Phase 01

Should you apply?

A role-match score and gap analysis, so you know which jobs are worth an evening and which to skip.

Role Match Score

One fit score for this job, based on your actual CV. It tells you whether the role is worth chasing before you sink an evening into the application.

Self-Introduction

Walk in prepared

Line up your references, know who you're talking to, and what the offer should look like before they name a number.

Base$140k$115k–$165k
Equity / yr$30k$15k–$55k
Bonus$18k$10k–$28k
Negotiation Strategy · 3 tips
1Anchor base at $155–160k. This is a deliberate seniority step-back, not a comp step-back — frame it that way upfront.
2Trade base for refresh-rate equity if they push. A higher year-2 refresh is more valuable than $10k of base at Director level.
3Name an alternative process you’re in. Fintech-payments leadership is scarce — that’s your strongest leverage on equity.

Company snapshot

The business, the culture, and how they pay, pulled together per company. You walk in knowing what the team actually cares about.

Business

Open Banking payments network, Stockholm-headquartered. Public (listed in Sweden), expanding across Europe and the US. Acquiring, settlement, and risk infrastructure for high-volume merchants.

Culture

Engineering-led, low-ego. Strong bias for ownership; expect to drive your own roadmap. Glassdoor flags fast pace and shifting priorities — verify with your hiring manager.

Compensation

Stockholm fintech market rate; restricted stock vests over 4 years. Performance bonuses tied to product OKRs. Less aggressive equity than US peers — see the Benchmark card for the numbers.

I've tried quite a few job application tools, and this one stands out for being both practical and easy to use. It quickly identifies areas where my resume can be improved and helps me better align it with job requirements. The interview preparation suggestions are also relevant and genuinely useful. I rarely leave reviews, but this tool has honestly helped me. If you're currently looking for a job, I think it's definitely worth trying.

FAQ

Questions about your coach

What is the CV Score?
A score out of 100 across two dimensions. The recruiter score is a ~7-second human skim — is your seniority clear up top, does your progression read at a glance, are your wins shown with impact. The ATS score is how screening software reads you first — how well your skills match the job's keywords, whether it can parse your layout (tables and columns scramble it), and whether your results are quantified. Each report shows what to change to move the number.
How is the fit score calculated? Do you just match keywords?
No — the fit score isn't a keyword count. Calibrd reads the whole job description against your CV and weighs the seniority the role expects vs. your real level, the scope and ownership it needs, and the core skills it asks for. 85+ is a strong fit, 70–84 good with minor gaps, below 50 a real stretch. If your CV is too thin to judge fairly, we say so instead of guessing. Keyword matching does happen — but only inside the CV's ATS score, because that's how automated screening actually reads you.
Do I need the Chrome extension?
No. Everything runs in your browser workspace at calibrd.com — paste any job, no install, and you get the full report, all 11 tools, and the voice mock interview. The Chrome extension is an optional add-on: it reads LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever and Levels.fyi postings automatically as you browse, so you skip the paste. Same account, same credits across both.
Can I just use ChatGPT for this?
You can use ChatGPT — but it's constant prompting, and the output rarely fits your specific situation. General models also drift run-to-run, with quality slipping under peak server load. When you're job-hunting, your energy should go into preparation, not fighting with a prompt window to get something usable. Calibrd skips that friction: a curated learning system with Claude under the hood, prompts tuned to the specific role and seniority. It predicts the questions you'll face, offers guided hints when you're stuck, gives targeted feedback on your drafted answers, and lets you edit your CV directly in CV Studio based on the gap analysis. One toolkit that goes with you from JD to offer — not a chatbot you have to drive. Full side-by-side comparison →
Which roles does Calibrd work for?
Your coach reads any JD — so it works for nearly any tech role. We've hand-crafted detailed prep guides and calibrated comp + interview-pattern models for 28 senior tech roles across Software Engineering, Engineering Management, Data & ML, Mobile, Infrastructure, Product, and Solutions. Other roles still get useful coaching — the calibration is just sharpest on the 28 we've explicitly tuned for. See the full breakdown — rounds, what each tests, and comp — in the 2026 Tech Interview Report →
Does Calibrd write my cover letter for me?
It writes a personalised first draft tuned to your CV and the job posting. 250–350 words, leading with company mission, connecting your experience to their specific problems instead of repeating your CV. You review and edit; one click recalibrates.
Can I run a full mock interview?
Yes. Calibrd runs a full voice mock interview with the AI playing your interviewer. Pick one of seven rounds — recruiter screen, hiring-manager, cross-functional, leadership panel, executive/VP final, system design, or technical deep-dive. It speaks each question out loud, listens to your spoken answers (transcribed by OpenAI Whisper), and follows up the way a real panel would. You get no feedback in the room; at the end there's a debrief with a clear verdict (would advance, borderline, or not yet), your strengths, the weak spots with fixes, the habits that kept recurring, and a question-by-question read. Your CV shapes the questions for every round except system design, which stays forward-looking. Your first mock is free, then 10 coaching credits a round. Transcripts and debriefs stay on your device, never server-side.
What are coaching credits?
Reports are free for everyone (up to 3 a day) — credits are only for the AI coaching, and they're account-level, not per report. Costs per action: First-time CV analysis −5 · Re-run CV analysis −2 · Unlock Application (cover letter + ready-to-paste answers) −2 · Refine cover letter −1 · Regenerate quick answers −1 · Answer a pasted application question −1 · Calibrate a CV section −1 · Calibrate an interview answer −1 · Polish your introduction −1 · Run a mock interview round −10 (first mock free). Free plan: 8 credits + your first mock. Single: 25 credits, Bundle: 125 — never expire. Pro: 500 per month (resets each cycle) plus unlimited reports.
What do free and paid plans get me?
Reports are free and full for everyone — predicted questions, CV insights and gap analysis, salary benchmark, company snapshot — up to 3 a day, plus 8 coaching credits and your first mock interview free. Paying adds coaching credits for the AI tools (CV analysis, mock rounds, cover letter, application answers, calibrations): Single is 25 credits, Bundle 125. Pro adds 500 credits a month and lifts the daily report cap to unlimited.
Which plan should I pick?
Reports are free on every plan, so it comes down to coaching credits. Single ($3.99) is 25 credits — about one interview's prep. Bundle ($9.99) is 125 credits at half the per-credit price — an active search. Pro ($19.99/month) is 500 credits a month plus unlimited reports, for a heavy search; cancel any time.
Can I practice my answers out loud?
Yes. Toggle Speak inside any predicted question and record up to 90 seconds — transcription runs through OpenAI Whisper (~95% accurate on tech terms like Kafka, RLHF, ATS). The transcript lands in the editable answer box so you can fix anything before calibrating. Type or speak in 99+ languages — Claude reads it the same way; AI calibration of your answer comes back in your report's language (English or French today). Recording and transcription are free; AI calibration costs the same 1 credit as a typed answer, if you choose to use it. Audio is sent to Whisper for transcription and discarded right after — never stored.
Can I sign in with Google or LinkedIn?
Yes — Continue with Google and Continue with LinkedIn both work on the web and in the extension. Email + 6-digit code is also there as a fallback (no password to remember). Sign-in is handled by Clerk; we never see your password or social-provider tokens.
Which job boards does it work on?
LinkedIn Jobs, Greenhouse, Lever, and Levels.fyi are fully supported. Calibrd injects into those pages and extracts the JD automatically. Other boards aren't supported yet.
Is Calibrd available in French?
Yes — fully. The entire web workspace runs in French: the interface, your report, cover letter, predicted questions, CV Studio and the voice mock interview (the interviewer speaks and listens in French). Calibrd switches to French automatically when you arrive from the French site or your browser is set to French, and a one-click toggle flips between French and English at any time. If your CV is in French, one tap translates it to English — or the other way — so you can apply to English-market roles too. (The Chrome extension's own menus stay in English; the report it generates still follows your chosen language.) Voir Calibrd en français →
Does it work for non-English job postings?
Calibrd reads job postings in any language. Generated content (report, cover letter, predicted questions, AI coaching, CV) comes in English or French — you choose per report, and French-speaking users get the whole workspace in French. For other output languages the analysis still works, but you'll want to translate the drafted cover letter yourself; more output languages are on the roadmap.
Does Calibrd work in my country?
Yes. Calibrd runs in your browser — the web workspace or the Chrome extension — and reads any job posting, so it works in any country with no regional restriction. Reports come in English or French today. Browse interview guides by country →
Does Calibrd store my CV?
No. Your CV stays local on your device — in your browser's storage (or the extension's). It's sent to our API over HTTPS during report generation only — never persisted server-side, never used to train any model.
How accurate is the compensation data?
Compensation benchmarks are AI-estimated based on the role, level, and location in the JD. Directional, not guaranteed — useful as a negotiation anchor.
Does it work without a CV?
Yes. Without a CV you still get predicted questions, comp benchmark, and company snapshot. Adding your CV unlocks the match score and personalised gap analysis.
